Hagan Scholarship Foundation
Information:
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide four-year need-based merit scholarship providing each recipient with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free
Eligibility
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2. Must attend an Eligible Public High School (ACS is eligible).
3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
4. Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation.
5. Must maintain a four-year or less graduation schedule in college.
6. Must work 240 hours each year, from January 1 until commencement of the fall semester in college. Employment must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation.
7. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes must not exceed $85,000.
8. Must provide a complete copy of the FAFSA SAR showing the EFC.
9. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.

2023 VBA Bank DAY
Information:
First National Bank is excited to host graduating high school seniors for the Virginia Bankers Association Bank Day and offer your seniors a unique scholarship opportunity! To qualify, one must be a senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Students who are selected to attend will join us at 622 Broad Street, Altavista, VA 24517, on March 7, where they will hear from our professional bankers in a wide variety of roles, discussing how banks operate, our role serving the community, as well as learning about credit and smart financial decision making. Students will use the information learned to submit an essay to the VBA Bank Day scholarship competition, where they will be eligible for regional or state scholarship prizes.

A total of $26,500 will be awarded to thirteen students across the Commonwealth.
Six honorable mention winners, each winning a $1,000 scholarship.

John R. Lillard Foundation, Inc. Aviation Scholarship Program Application
Information:
Please visit the Virginia Department of Aviation’s website (www.doav.virginia.gov) to view the scholarship. In order for your application to be considered, you must be a Virginia high school senior, have at least a 3.50 unweighted GPA; be planning a career in the field of aviation, and must be enrolled or accepted into an aviation-related program at an accredited college. Information:
Each year, the Virginia School Counselor Association awards scholarships to deserving seniors pursuing post-secondary education. Information: One or two scholarships will be awarded by the Barnard Family Health & Wellness Scholarship Committee. Amounts are dependent on the funds generated for distribution each year. Investments are handled by The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation.

Information: This scholarship memorializes Ralph & Mitchell Walker, longtime residents of Campbell County.
