The Jostens representatives will be here tomorrow to place orders for class rings.  They will be set up outside of the first cafeteria during all lunches to assist you with your order.  Rings can also be ordered tomorrow after school until 6:15 pm in the front lobby.  A $50 deposit is requested to place your order.  Extra class ring packets are available in the main office.  Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are welcomed to order.

The Jostens representatives will also be taking graduation orders tomorrow.  All Seniors need to order their cap, gown and other graduation items tomorrow as this is a one day event.  A $75 deposit is requested to place an order.

Girls Soccer will have Open Field outside Monday November 21st from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

It is that time of year again to bring in canned and nonperishable food items for the food drive for the Angel tree. There will be a first and second place class based on percentage of food brought in. First place will get breakfast and second place will get doughnuts. FBLA will be collecting food through December 9th.

NHS members should come by Mrs. Waller's room to sign up to bring something for the NHS induction next Tuesday and for the Christmas party. 

The NHS picture for the yearbook will be the afternoon of Tuesday November 22nd.

All JV and Varsity volleyball players should return their travel bags to Coach Spencer by the end of the day today.

There will be an Art Club Meeting after school today for any high school student who is interested in being part of the Art Club.  The meeting will last approximately 20 - 30 minutes and will be held in the art room.

Mrs. Manning will hold a Biology study group in her room every morning before school for any student who would like to review for upcoming tests or who needs additional help

The Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation Scholarships are now available.  Eighteen scholarships range from $1000.00 to $10,000.00 to be awarded to the best essays in the state.  The application and an essay on General Lee or General Jackson is due to Mr. Gafford by February 1st, 2017.

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is offering free summer programs that can earn college credit and enhance your education.  You can get a flyer from the counseling office or your science teacher.

Girls on the Run Celebration 5K will be Saturday November 19th at Sweet Briar.  If any AHS student needs community service hours, we have a bus reserved to transport all volunteers.  Sign ups are located on the bulletin board across from Mrs. Watson's room.
