FBLA members who sold pizza need to be at the back of the building at 3:15 pm today to help unload the truck and pick up orders.  If a parent is coming to pick up your order please ask them to be here by 5:00 pm.

The deadline to register for the December 3rd SAT is November 3rd.  If you need help, come to the counseling office.

A representative from Bridgewater College will be here on Thursday at 9:30 am.  Sign up on the board outside of Mrs. McBride's office to attend.

Basketball Cheerleaders need to meet in Mrs. Gray’s room Wednesday from 3:00 - 4:00.

The Spanish Club is selling candy grams for $1.  See Mrs. Hines for an order form and have a candy gram delivered to someone on November 2nd for Day of the Dead.

Picture retakes will be Thursday November 3rd.  You will need to bring $3 for retakes unless you were absent on Picture Day.

"Long live the Colonels" Spanish T-shirts are still on sale.  We have added short sleeve T's for $10.  New deadline is November 4. Order forms are in Mrs. Hines' room, D113.

The National Center for Women and Information Technology Award for Aspiration in Computing application deadline is Monday November 7th.  See Mrs. Hanson for details.

Mrs. Manning will hold a Biology study group in her room every morning before school for any student who would like to review for upcoming tests or who needs additional help.

The Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation Scholarships are now available.  Eighteen scholarships range from $1000.00 to $10,000.00 to be awarded to the best essays in the state.  The application and an essay on General Lee or General Jackson is due to Mr. Gafford by February 1st, 2017.

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is offering free summer programs that can earn college credit and enhance your education.  You can get a flyer from the counseling office or your science teacher.

Girls on the Run Celebration 5K will be Saturday November 19th at Sweet Briar.  If any AHS student needs community service hours, we have a bus reserved to transport all volunteers.  Sign ups are located on the bulletin board across from Mrs. Watson's room.
