The deadline to request transcripts and recommendations for college admissions is Monday December 12th, 2016.

There will be a meeting this Friday at 3:00 pm in the downstairs middle school health room for any 9th - 12th grade boy interested in playing soccer this spring.

Cross Country runners need to come by Mrs. Harrison's office one day this week.

There will be a Middle School Dance this Friday December 9th after school until 5:00 pm in the cafeteria.  The admission is $2.00.  Bring extra money for snacks.  Please have your ride pick you up at 5:00 pm.

The Spanish Club will meet after school today to stuff stockings and make Christmas cards.  Please sign up with Ms. Hines or Mrs. Lopez Valerio.  Also, we have extra long sleeved and short sleeved t-shirts available for sale with Long Live the Colonels in Spanish.  See Mrs. Hines if you would like to purchase one.

The Colonel Period Drama Club audition has been rescheduled for today.

Basketball Cheerleading will be selling candy grams during all three lunches until December 14th for only $1.  All candy grams will be delivered on December 15th. 

The Science National Honor Society will meet today after school. 

Students who are interested in going to the driving range Saturday January 7th and Monday January 9th - Thursday January 12th, please see Ms. Bradley to sign up.  The cost is $100.

It is that time of year again to bring in canned and nonperishable food items for the food drive for the Angel tree. There will be a first and second place class based on percentage of food brought in. First place will get breakfast and second place will get doughnuts. FBLA will be collecting food through December 9th.

The Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation Scholarships are now available.  Eighteen scholarships range from $1000.00 to $10,000.00 to be awarded to the best essays in the state.  The application and an essay on General Lee or General Jackson is due to Mr. Gafford by February 1st, 2017.

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is offering free summer programs that can earn college credit and enhance your education.  You can get a flyer from the counseling office or your science teacher.
