11th grade Powder Puff girls will meet this afternoon at 5:30 pm on the football field to practice before the game.

Congratulations to the Marching Colonels who finished in 3rd place, class Single A with a rating of Excellent at the "Drums Along the Blue Ridge Marching Band Competition" in Bassett, VA.

Basketball cheerleaders need to meet in Mrs. Gray’s room for about 10 minutes after school.  If you cannot make it please go to her room during your lunch.

Picture retakes will be Thursday November 3rd.  You will need to bring $3 for retakes unless you were absent on Picture Day.

Any student grades 8 - 11 interested in going to China with Crumbtrail, there will be an informational meeting in the auditorium this Wednesday the 26th at 6:30 pm.  Please RSVP to Ms. Maxey. 

Hotel Transylvania will be shown for dinner and a movie outside on the lawn of the Booker Building this Saturday October 29th.  The lawn opens at 7pm.  Tickets purchased in advance are $5 and include the movie, two slices of pizza, cookies and a drink. Tickets bought at the door are $2 and do not include dinner.

Girls Soccer will have Open Gym Tuesday from 3:00 - 4:30 pm in the Old Gym.

Girls Basketball will have Open Gym Thursday from 3:00 - 4:30 pm in the Old Gym.

Congratulations to the Bionic Eagles robotics team for winning the championship at the IROC robotics competition on Saturday.

Anyone who still needs to purchase a powder puff shirt please see Mrs. Watson after school.  There are several additional shirts available for $10.

The Anti-Bullying Club will meet Tuesday October 25th from 3:00 - 4:00.  Please make sure you have a ride home.

Chorus students who are auditioning for All-District Chorus will have practice Wednesday and Thursday until 4:30 pm. 

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is offering free summer programs that can earn college credit and enhance your education.  You can get a flyer from the counseling office or your science teacher.

Girls on the Run Celebration 5K will be Saturday November 19th at Sweet Briar.  If any AHS student needs community service hours, we have a bus reserved to transport all volunteers.  Sign ups are located on the bulletin board across from Mrs. Watson's room.
