The Spanish Club is selling ¡Viva los Coroneles! (Long Live the Colonels) long sleeve t-shirts and hoodies.  Hoodies are $28 and T's are $15.  See Mrs. Hines for an order form and they are due back by October 26th.

The Powder Puff Football game will be held on Monday October 24th at 6:30 pm.  Anyone still wanting to order a pink or purple shirt can pick up an order form from Mrs. Watson's room and returned to her no later than 3:00 pm on Thursday October 14th.

National Junior Honor Society will have a meeting next Thursday October 14th at 3:00 pm in Mrs. Watson's room

The Science National Honor Society will have a meeting on Tuesday October 11th at 3:00 pm in Mrs. Watson's room.

Girls soccer will have open gym on Tuesday from 3:00 - 4:30 pm.

All Pink Out Activities have been rescheduled for the October 21st football game against William Campbell.

Basketball Cheerleading tryouts will be held on October 22nd in the Old Gym from 9 am to 12 pm.  You must have a physical in order to tryout.  The tryout sign-up sheet is outside of Mrs. Gray's room along with extra physical forms.

The Girls on the Run Celebration 5K this fall will be Saturday November 19th at Sweet Briar.  This is a good opportunity for any AHS student who is in need of community service hours.  We have a bus reserved to transport all volunteers.

The Anti-Bullying Club will meet Thursday October 13th in Mrs. Schultz’s classroom until 3:45 pm.  Please make sure that you have a ride home.

The Society of Women Engineers invites you to apply for a place in their High School Visitation Program taking place on November 19th at the University of Virginia.The application deadline is October 22nd.  See Mrs. Hanson in the counseling office or your science teacher for more information.

The last day to place a senior ad will be October 15th.  You can reserve an ad space with a $25 down payment.  There are forms available outside of the yearbook room.

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is offering free summer programs that can earn college credit and enhance your education.  See the counseling office or your science teacher for more information.
