Congratulations to Jolie Rowland (Honorable Mention, poetry), Collin Rice (First Place, fiction), Arwen Bell (Second Place, poetry), Adriana Harris (First Place, fiction) and Summer Martinez (Third Place, fiction) whose entries were chosen as winners in the Campbell County Young Author's contest.  First through third place entries will advance to the regional level.

The Fray Family Charitable Trust Scholarship in the amount of 5,000 dollars is now available.  The application is due to the Counseling Office on March 31st, 2017.

Colonel College Bulletin #11 is available on the Counseling Page of the school website and the bulletin board outside of Mrs. McBride's office.

FBLA will meet Tuesday March 14th after school.

6th grade permission slips and money for the aquarium field trip are due to Mrs. Willis by Wednesday March 15th.

Students who are interested in going to the driving range March 20th - 24th, please sign up with Ms. Bradley.  The cost is $100.

The United States Military Academy Day 2017 will be on Saturday April 29th in Charlottesville at the Paramount Theater.  Representative from Virginia Congressional offices will be available to answer questions regarding the application procedures for congressional nominations.  Students will be able to meet officials from all five academies and representatives from ROTC, Virginia Tech and Virginia Military Institute.  See Mrs. Hanson for more information.

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is offering free NASA based programs.  Please see your science teacher or come to the counseling office for more information. 

Areva will host The Summer Institute of Technology and Engineering this summer from June 19th - July 28th.  The counseling office has more information for those who are interested.  The deadline to apply is March 31st.
